God’s people are perishing from a lack of knowledge. Christ’s knowledge. The more knowledge that we have working in our life, the knowledge that God sent His Son into this world to give us, the more fertilized we become for more growth. God’s growth.

We need more churches teaching us God’s truth. I am not talking about a church that teaches what their denomination aspires to believe, I am talking about a church that can teach a Christian every aspect of Christianity the way that Christ taught. With spiritual wisdom and with signs following them.

Mark 6:1-2 NIV 6:1 Jesus left there and went to his hometown, accompanied by his disciples. 2 When the Sabbath came, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard him were amazed. "Where did this man get these things?" they asked. "What's this wisdom that has been given him, that he even does miracles!

We need more teachers teaching us the way Christ taught. I am not talking about having teachers who have the ability to recite scriptures to us that is not knowledge, that is a good memory, or having a teacher who can tell us what men and women of the bible received or achieved through Christ but who don’t have their own testimony to tell us about what they have received and are achieving through Christ. I am talking about having teachers who can feed our body soul and our spirit. Those who are able to effectively communicate to us what it means to be a Christian, teaching by the word of God, using the example of Christ and by the demonstration that Christ lives in them and works through them. Those who can effectively teach us to understand who we are as a Christian, why being a Christian is so important, and to know what we are able and capable to achieve having Christ in our life. We need to know what our purpose is as a Christian and we need people to teach us who we are because of Jesus Christ. Many people can recite scriptures without understanding their true meaning, but blessed is the person who can understand scripture, recite scripture and have those scriptures working in their life.

It is God’s desire that we grow and flourish under His teaching, but it is satan’s desire that we remain ignorant to know what our potential is through Jesus Christ. Why? So that we won’t have the Blood of Jesus Christ working in our life or working against him in any way, shape, form, or manner. We need teachers who can help shine the Light of Christ upon to our lives to help expose the darkness that needs to be expelled from our lives.

John 12:46 NIV 46 I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.

Luke 11:35-36 NIV 35 See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness. 36 Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be completely lighted, as when the light of a lamp shines on you."

John 8:12 NIV 12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

There is an older song I love to hear that has these words “You can’t be a beacon if your light don’t shine,” and this is true and we need teachers who can shine a light, God’s Light not their own. Through lack of knowledge and ignorance some churches are not sitting under and basking in the fullness of God’s Light so therefore are not shining the fullness of God’s Light onto their congregations. What do I mean by that? I am saying that some churches are not “understanding what their purpose is as one who is to teach a Christian the word of God and train them up in those ways, and so they are not teaching by example what God’s purpose is for a Christians life and teaching how they can walk in that purpose.” It was God’s purpose that the fullness of His Light would continually shine into our lives and into our hearts to cleanse and purify our souls and so if any of that Light is being obstructed then some darkness may still be there. This is why we need to examine ourselves everyday with God’s Light to see what else is still in darkness and needs to be cleansed under the Blood of Jesus Christ.

Satan wants for us as Christians to be kept in the darkness for if we don’t have the fullness of Christ working in our life then satan still has a foothold in our life. Satan would want for us to think that we are walking in the fullness of God’s Light by going to church to hear the word of God without putting that word to use in our life, and satan definitely does not want for us to shine God’s Light unto other people and minister to their needs. There is power in this Blood of Jesus Christ and when we petition the throne room of God in the appropriate manner to bind the works of satan, he is BOUND, but satan does not want for us to know that.

Becoming a Christian is not what is going to shine God’s Light into our life and purify our souls. It is not by making the decision to become a Christian that will shed off the old man or woman and make us a new creation, but it is by adhering ourselves to God’s plan of salvation that will. God’s Light is the knowledge that He sent into this world to break through the veils of darkness that consumed our lives in that we should not remain ignorant to God’s truth the truth that takes us out from under satan’s rule. Sin works in darkness and so if we recognize any sin or ignorance working in our life then we need to shine God’s Light onto that dark area and put the Blood of Jesus Christ against the strongholds of that darkness.

Note: We need to walk in that Light at all times, if that Light moves then we need to move with it or else darkness will be our light. We can’t expect to go where we want and the Light to follow us, we need to follow that Light.

2 Timothy 1:9-10 NIV This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, 10 but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

2 Corinthians 4:6 NIV 6 For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

1 John NIV 1:5-7 5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
